In what perhaps looks like a Christmas gift to Windows Phone users it seems Spotify will be making a Windows Phone 8 app.  According to Anna Stromberg product market manager for Windows Phone in Sweden the Spotify app is "currently under development."

Ok while I can't read the above tweets I trust the source plus it says "Spotify" in the question a few times and there is a smiley face next to the word Spotify in the answer.  So that has to be good right?  Seriously Windows Phone is making a push to close that app gap as quickly as possible and this is another big piece of that puzzle.  Now if I could only get Jet Pack Joyride for my Nokia Lumia 920.

She sais that the Spotify app for WP8 is in development. They don't have a release date yet, but it is a must have app so they are doing all they can to get it out quick.

But one question, doesn't the Spotify app for WP7 work on WP8?

Good to know. Won't recommend anyone to buy WP8 until Spotify is there.
