Samsung was first to the Windows Phone 8 game unveiling the Samsung Ativ S before anyone else let us look at their Windows Phone 8 devices. Yet when it came to releasing it they were a month behind. So the question is now that it is out is it worth the wait? While I haven't personally been able to get my hands on one (not yet anyway) to test Pocket Now did lets see what they thought.

Lets start with some specs:

  • Processor 1.5 GHz dual-core processor
  • Display   4.8 inch  HD Super AMOLED
  • Camera Main(Rear): 8 Megapixel Auto Focus
  • (Front): 1.9 Megapixel
  • NFC
  • 16/32GB User memory
  • 1GB RAM
  • microSD (SDXC support)
  • Battery 2,300mAh

While they found the device satisfying to use, it's screen pleasing to the eye, they were not happy about the Samsung zone apps it's best summed up by this picture.

Check out the video review for the full run down on this device.

It's summed up like this:

 Big, bright, high-resolution display
 Excellent battery life
 Good camera performance
 Comfortable form factor
 Expandable memory
 Removable battery

-  Samsungs custom software suite needs work
-  Design is somewhat dated
-  Middling voice quality
