The idea of producing oversized smartphones is already on the edge. The likes of Samsung, LG, HTC, et al have either released a device of such nature or have it in the works. But the Chinese Tech based Huawei has refused to be left behind in the race of Gigantic smartphones.
Rumours were flying throughout the World Wide Web few months back that the Chinese firm was on the verge of releasing a monstrous smartphone to go by the name 'Huawei Ascend Mate'. Some of the glimpsed specs include a 1.8GHz quad core processor, 2GB of RAM and a massive and intimidating 6.1 inch Full High Definition screen with whopping 1080 resolution display. Although, there is no official announcement of such a device by Huawei but Huawei's Senior Vice President Yu Chengdong made a confirmation of the development on a Chinese Social Network Weibo on Wednesday. Emphasizing on the confirmation by the Senior Vice President of the Chinese Tech maker, the VP stressed that the device will aim directly at Samsung Galaxy Note II smartphone, adding that the Ascend Mate will be more powerful than Galaxy Note II from the Korean giant.
The Vice President affirmed that the upcoming device will have a cooler design, slimmer bezel, better grip, longer battery life and a stunning display. He also urged consumers of larger screen smartphones to wait for the Huawei Ascend Mate because the device will knock the Samsung Galaxy Note II off the throne with its outstanding specs and better price. Speculations point to a January announcement of the Huawei Ascend Mate at the Annual Consumer Electronics show.
Sounds so promising right? So far no downside; better battery life, powerful processor, stunning display and affordable price. Do you think the Ascend Mate can spoil the show for the Galaxy Note II with those intimidating specs? It won't be long before we find out.
