Ipod also support .mp4 so i assume the converter can do both. You adjust the resolution manually most likley

Oh yea and dont be a idiot like me and spend hours looking for a good mp4 converter when the phone also supports realmedia formats out of the box.

Yes, I know it supports realmedia.  My questions were because the link specific says "5800" and not all converter media programs allows you to set 640360.   Wink

Nice app trance, but H264 videos may not work on the 5800, make sure to use MPEG4 setting in it, or else it will say 'could not play video or audio, trying to play partially' lol

It's has bit strange interface...

I followed this steps:
1. When the apps stars, I choose "Video File"
2. Choose "Power Mode"
3. In the lower section, I can select the file and choose the output directory
4. Click "Start Converting"
5. I can choose "View Conversion Progress"

And that's about it...

Nice app trance, but H264 videos may not work on the 5800, make sure to use MPEG4 setting in it, or else it will say 'could not play video or audio, trying to play partially' lol

I forgot to tell...  same thing happened to me on the first time...   Make sure to go to "settings" and choose MP4 or else it won't play on 5800 !

Update:  In my opinion, there are many other programs better then this one to convert media to 5800 XM.

WinAvi Video Converter works perfect for Nokia 5800. As stated above, you need to select MP4 button and not PSP.
However, it is not a freeware application, so it is not for everyone.

Videora Ipod Converter application as suggested by the topic starter is freeware and works well for Nokia 5800.

***Free Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Video Converter. works good and its easy to use!

==================================================

Do this video converter has the ability to stitch together several video files?

This one does, and its also free.
http://www.ipodrobot.com/download.htm

(see Output Options - Join Videos Into One, check the box)

... Try doing a 320x240 reso, then just adjust the aspect ratio when viewing.
... have converted several dvd's in it, shooter, hitman, thick as thieves, and viewed them on 5800.
... video produced are crisp and clear.

plz help
kya me .mkv video apne N 5800 play kar sak ta hu
ager ha to kon se player me me ne core player download kiya lakin install nahi hota he so plz help me

core player isn't there for 5800 yet.....and no you can't play mkv files on your 5800......

and for the record, anyone tried converting mkv files to mp4, coz it isn't working fine on the phone..... Undecided

the video gets automatically extended, for example: if the video is of 5 minutes, it becomes 10 minutes....but the extended 5 minutes are blank....and no video......

Converting MKV files to MP4 works without any problem.
I've used Winavi Video Converter and Format Factory to convert several files (batch conversion).
Maybe you need to post the output settings and the program you use. Then we can see if there is anything wrong.
Have you tried another conversion software?
