dude i have the same problem but i solved it.try flashing it with pheonix and keep in mind that to turn of security while installing or during flashing.now here is thing you must do copy all the files of firmware(original) and keep a backup.
then flash the modded firmware if anything goes wrong you will have backup of original.try to over write the firm ware files in your
C:/nokia/pheonix/products/RM(whatever the number of firmware).keep in mind not to remodify the firmware of original cuz it can be messy.if you want a custom firmware try downloading symbian anna firmware from this site.replace the ppm file with (there are two types of ppm one is ppm mh and ppm mt prefer mh and ove write as 9.98.ppm_mh)original.flush it through pheonix(here you must be concerned about two things 1:-you must select no connection not usb1 2:-dead flash usb tick it and now click Refrubish).wait till flashing and VOILA there it is your new look for your phone...Smiley
AND just click your power button of your mobile quickly when it prompts quickly you will have like 2 or 5 seconds to do it.
