nokia n85

The Nokia N85 has received a new firmware update today.  There isnt any changelog out yet but one good news (for  all email lovers)  is the home screen email notification. You can download the new firmware and update your N85 via NSU.

Gday,

Im not seeing this in Australia yet. Although I do have a Vodafone branded phone (and firmware)

Do I have to unlock the phone first before the new version will be found?

Since your phone is branded you might have to wait much longer to get this latest firmware since your operator has to first approve the new firmware. This process usually takes quite some time so I would recommend you to unbrand your device. Then you can easily get the latest firmware Smiley

Thanks for that... im noob-ish so just to clarify... I have the unlock code for my phone (to unlock it from the network)... so if i just do that then run the FOTA again all should be well?

I thought it was based on the handset id (hardcoded?)
