The sale of Windows Phone 7 has not been up to the mark, this is from the Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.
Ballmer said during a financial analyst meeting on Wednesday that he is disappointed with the sales details for Windows Phone 7. "We havent sold quite as many as I would have liked in the first year. … Im not saying I love where we are, but I am very optimistic on where we can be," Ballmer said.
Players like Samsung and HTC plan to launch new devices based on WP7 and Mango. But in spite of this, they have more plans towards Googles Android and this is where the smartphone world is and heading more towards. In the current situation, Nokia alone remains really the most dedicated partner for WP7.
"With Nokia we have a dedicated hardware partner that is all-in on Windows Phones. They are not doing something on Android," Ballmer said.
