Nope, for me a picture or video that has grey and black color is the most appropriate mixture rather then complete white.., White hides the purple color evidently.. Sad

The simplest way to check is set the brightness to maximum and set the light time out to lowest and then at the same setting page leave the phone, within 5 seconds lights will be out and the screen dims itself., then touch anywhere on the screen not on any option but on a free area and when the screen comes back to the maximum brightness most of the area turned to purple and then back to the normal., this is the best way to show Nokia care.. The same works in Anna also. Wink

Yes,you're right.I did like you said and when i touch the screen light became purple for a short period of time and then came back to normal.In this case,you think that i must change my display,or is a hardware issue?

@witcher3
Not in India but anywhere, you just got to have your phone under warranty.., also it's not certain that they will replace your phone, they may change the display first and if that solve the problem that's fine.

ok, today I got my N8 replaced with a box packed new sale unit with all other new accessories with no purple tint issue, however the HDMI clip was faulty and not fitted properly so I returned that again and now again I am waiting for a new sale unit... Wow, imagine after about a year, all other accessories new and a brand new sale unit.. Tongue, I am getting too greedy.. Cheesy

ok, so here is the update.. Finally instead of getting a replacement, I asked Nokia to refund me the money for my N8.. which will profit me in two ways.

First I will get almost 1 or 2k more then the actual market price right now, so I can get a new N8 and also save few bucks .. and the other thing is that I will get an extra year warranty again without spending a single buck.. I am getting the cheque today or most probably tomorrow morning., will share my experience with you guys in a new thread as soon as I will get the cheque..
