It's advertising revenue, so the actual revenue might differe.
And we all know that piracy is a bigger problem with Android.

I also feel like buying apps more frequently on my iPhone than on my SGS because the quality in the apps for the iPhone is in a completely different league than Android where most apps feels sloppy and unattractive.

Iphone fans will never change, the last thing defendable for apple was the apple store but now Android has better free apps and games than floppy and unattractive apps from apple.

I must say that I still get amazed by the quality of the apps for iPhone...  Great games and apps and always smooth.  Even the browsing experience feels better than any other device: http://forum.dailymobile.net/index.php?topic=40752.0

I don't like the iPhone as a phone but I must admit that everything is cool in that phone...

Indeed.

Android has more free apps, and is said to overtake Apple App Store in mid 2012, but the quality of iphone apps is at a higher level.

i love my sgs2 but i would agree with everyone else the apple store apps and games are higher quality because android apps and games are built for a cross platform genre ie there isnt many games etc that utilise high end flagship phones and their specific hardware ie the mali gpu in the sgs2 is a perfect example .

it outshines the nvidia and qualcom equivelants yet it is running games through chainfire 3-d that arent designed for its specific hardware where as ios games are made for that specific hardware :-)

then you have the gyroscope which is used greatly in ios games etc where as on android it is very rare for support

android market place is great but its hard for devs as there are so many different devices with different hardware to cater for

this is probs another rason why microsoft make set hardware limits to their phones , so all maket place apps/games will work on devices to the same high quality
