Note on nokia n97 its impossible to put the ovi maps on rofs2 its too big it wont work so i put them on rofs3 and succeed only the location problem nothing on map only a red point i dont understand .

i have made a cfw for n97 too with built in maps try out that

okay thanks for the reply another thing , after putting the ovi maps in rofs3 and flashing , i have no free license ! i have to download the new version once again , but in the ovi maps i got unpacked there was license folder i didnt copy it it maybe the problem i think .

Edit : i flashed 10 times , no success , someone sent me the ovi maps 3.3 and i tried to put them in the firmware did it after flash ovi mpas works but its saying ovi maps license expired if i wanna use them i have to update them again from the sw , and in this case am gonna lose free space on c , i dont know whats going on , if someone can support me with ovimaps 3.3 with free license and the steps to add them on rofs before flashing .

its built in mate.. u can have large fonts too but it will look untidy..

if you will put a bigger font what will happen is that you will lose some characters like on dialler and some special character will be gone. just try to adjust the display settings and put it on large

Any tutorial how to add languages  i flashed my 5800 v40 but my phone language has been deleted

well everything is great, at least until i want to connect to WLAN on UMTS, it connects, but it doesn't recognize the connection and i can't browse anything

another thing, when i try to hard reset i'm told to terminate all connections and/or phone calls even if i'm not connected.

anyone had the same problems??

[FOR NOKIA 5800 v40 USERS]
For those who problems with their modified rom or dont have their language here is my tutorial :
1-First you must have ovi suite installed
2-Connect your phone via usb
3-Open ovi suite go to tools software updates wait so search then click reinstall it
4-When download starts deconnect the phone from pc and wait to finish (If the download dont starts its means its already downloaded)
5-Then unhide the hidden files go to ProgramData/Nokia/Nokia Service Layer/A/nsl_service_module_00001/vpls/www.dsut.online.nokia.com.oti.caresuite/Products/rm-356/
6-And ready for modding the original downloaded rofs2
And some tips:
(1)If you want to install rompatcher in c flash your phone with a modiffied rofs2 who have rompatcher then extract a downloaded rompatcher from symbiantoys (i recommend to use RomPatcherPlus 2.3) with siscontents then copy the files to memory card then copy the folders to c
shutdown the phone and flash again with one who dont have rompatcher or the unmodified one  and your phone is hacked (dont forget to copy the folder paches to e drive to work)
(2)If you wand to add effects like SpinSlide copy folder effects to z/resources

the file you are gonna flash with is RM-356_40.0.005_prd.rofs2.V22 rename if your firmware file is called different

1) hard reset to get rid of the previous flash hack

2) place RM-356_40.0.005_prd.rofs2.V22 in the directory you use for flashing and rewrite previous file

3) replace RM356_40.0.005_023_xxx_U01.uda.fpsx with the orignal file

then flash..................

what you get in this custom firmware so far is............

1) changed blue logo startup
2) changed startup animation
3) theme effect slidespin remember to enable effects
4) camera mod
5) cache from c: to e:
6) landscape enabled on homescreen
7) patcher.ldd patchershadow.ldd in z:/sys/bin permanant
latest free ovi maps v3.03 in z
9) rompatcher v2.3 lite in z
10)latest ovi store in z-- i dnt knw why it show update it before running i still update it didnt took any memory

you will get 72MB free memory after ovi store

it contains only R.01 lang check other lang by yourself

sw update will show a update for latest maps.. DONT UPDATE IT bcoz it will eat your memory

all things will remain after hard reset

* Improved search for cities with zoom out to city level

It also adds Wi-Fi positioning to the many ways location is determined, though it will take a while before Nokia's servers build up enough data for this to be useful.
