Yeah, I can't remember HTC putting stereo speakers on any of their phones except the Shift and Advantage.
Probably, they don't consider it very important...

Sadly Cry

The current speakers on Desire are not good at all.
I guess we will know more about the speaker quality when first full reviews come out for Desire Z and HD.

I had some trouble deciding what phone to choice (desire, Z, HD, N8, galaxy s, wave etc). So many good phones on the market right now :p But now I pre ordered the Desire HD with a contract of ~30 euro per month and I cant wait to hold it in my hand Cheesy

Most important things convinced me to take the HD:
- Screen size
- "New" processor+gpu (can compete with galaxy s and iphone 4, dunno if it's as good as..)
- New sense (looks really handy and awesome at the same time)
- Market (after iphone, i think android has the best market .. and since I dont want an iphone.. Lips sealed)
- Last but not least: android!

And I hope it will be updated to android 3.0 once its available... Roll Eyes but i think it will, since the specs are ready for it!

hehe.. yeah, its big. but if u compare it to the galaxy, its only a few mm larger:

Galaxy S (with 4 inch screen): 122.4 x 64.2 x 9.9 mm
Desire HD (with 4.3 inch screen): 123 x 68 x 11.8 mm

And I had a Galaxy S in my hands and I didn't count it as a real big phone..

Look at how broad HD is: that makes it difficult to manage the phone with one hand.
However, Desire HD is the choice for those outside of US that always wanted an EVO 4G.
