Been a while since I posted here too, I made the jump (and installed Windows 8 ) as my main OS! Kinda eked out that Audacity and Skype voice calls don't work.
I love the small taskbar icon option now ever since they ditched the Start Orb, no more bulging circle thing!
And there's not much customization in this Metro compared to WP7...
