Nokia N97 - RM505 v22.0.110 - Basic Hack

Hello friends,

This is a very basic hack of N97 v22.0.101 RM505 (that I owned) for the lazy ones like me who are waiting for the hack while he knows how to do it (Thanks to the PNHT team). I have been waiting for the last few days for some basic hack but in vein. So I made this up for me and sharing this with you as it may help someone there. For my use, I like to have a clean phone while I do the hard reset (4 finger) on my phone so that I can try and test a new patch available. For this I have only added the 20 cap certificate to my ROM. What I do is--

   1. Flash the phone with the ROFS2 image using JAF.
   2. Install the rompatcher+ attached with the post
   3. The patches copied to E:\patches.
   4. Open the Rompatcher+
   5. Apply the patches
   6. Set the patches to autorun and that's all.




Now I can Install any software, tweak with the hidden drives and that's all I need to do to have my preferred N97.

Attached file contains the ROFS2 image. the 20 cap certificate, Rompatcher+ installer and 4 patches (that I use at least).
You will not require the 20 cap certificate unless you want to cook your own ROM.

How to use:

Download your firmware files by navifirm.
Copy the firmware files to "C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM505"
Replace the ROFS2 file with the file attached here.
Flash with JAF
Install the rompatcher+
Copy the attached patches to E:\patches.
Open the Rompatcher+
Apply the patches
Set the patches to autorun and that's all.

Would you please let me know where to include this file in rofs2 and how will it help me??
and also i am making a cfw for n97 mini RM555 APAC v12.0.110 and i am trying to make the rompatcher autostart

Copy the certificate to your extracted ROFS2 in the location
\resource\swicertstore.dat
Replace the original file.

For rompatcher+ autorun download Rompatcher+ N97, extract the rar file and drop those files in the extracted ROFS2, repack and flash.

but can i use that 20 caps certificate mention by you here or in that post on RM-555 APAC v12.0.110???
since i read the whole post they say that it is made for v21/22 and they dont seem to have tested it on any other version

on jaf, there is no phone selection for n97?
i have read about using the ini from 1.92.64 with the 1.92.62 program, but cannot find the file anyhwere.. any help?
