Can anyone who has reviewed/tested the N8 tell me what functions the FM transmitter will have??

e.g. transfer music to a car.

Thanks.  Smiley

Nokia only give option to use it in music player. But  i think any third party application can use vfm transmitter to transmitt loudspeaker through transmitter. Wink
Still the problem if car sterio gets off you will not be able to listen untill to turn off fm transmitter as there is no way to know that a system is using frequency or not.

You get interference and hear both the radio and the nokia like a bad adjusted frequency

The major problem to get interference on the radio is because of your car radio attenna is "outside" the vehicle, although u place your N8 next to the radio but the radio antenna have a hardwire connected to the external antenna, this will be worst if your car windows have tinted as this will also block the RF signal from beam through your N8 to the external antenna, but of coz this will only happen if the N8 FM transmitter are very low in it's transmit signal... maybe some mods to the hardwire antenna at the back of the car audio system will easily improve the experience like a simple single core copper wire "extra" tapping out from the antenna connector will easily do the trick.. Tried to use my Nokia bluetooth headset(BH-108) while listening to music in my car through the fm transmitter.

But the ringtone and the voice of the caller gets through the fm transmitter so i can hear it in my cars speakers and not in my BT headset. And it seems that the caller cant hear me at all. And that happends everytime.

Can anyone confirm same problem? Maybe u cant use BT headset and FM transmitter at the same time.

Tried it without the headset connected and it worked good.

Everything will be sent to the fm radio in your car/house, i played a movie, played some games, and received a couple of calls. all worked fine, no matter if your car antenna is in the back or you have tinted windows(this is my case), i just place the 3 to 4ft from the car stereo and it work perfectly.

music + GPS works perfectly, when a driving direction occurs music is nicely fade-out fade-in (driving direction go through the phone speaker).
