So because the search feature doesn't seem to be working on this board I need to ask a question that may have been already answered.

Did v50 add the email notifications back to the shortcut homescreen? If not, can this be "fixed" using a mod/hack yet?

@jerjer. . . it will void my warranty. . . . ? oh noh. . . my tube is from nokia store. . . .and they give me warranty and i can renew it every year to avail for free service. . . i be patient in waiting v50 here in pinas. . .

its up to you kabayan, but i have no regret of changing my product code.. maybe you will wait first for v40 and then v50..

Now that k scrolling seems to be everywhere, is it also available when reading email / messages? Whenever, I read emails and try to scroll down, I get the "copy" option popup. It would make more sense to scroll when "flicked" and have the popup when "held" on the text.
Anybody?

p.s.: Also, does v50 get the alpha numeric dialer yet??? (we in the US could sure use it!!!)

you don't have to flash your phone, im also afraid in flashing my phone.. all i do is i changed my product code via NSS.. the procedure is very easy.. but it voids your warranty(i already voided my warranty)hehehe

they cannot upgrade it because the updates are not yet arrived in our country.. unfortunately the latest firmware update here in pinas is v31

you can change the original product code so that the warranty will not be voided!

I have a 5800 RM-428 and the new firmware is not available. I have changed my product code using NSS to 0577445 which is supposed RM-356 that has the update available but when trying to update using NSU it always detects my phone as RM-428 and no update for me...is this normal?

You can just change the product code with NSS to the one listed in the thread.

i just upgraded my software to v50.. in mall of asia..

they also changed the touch screen of my phone.. (it says in the technician report) good thing my unit is still under warranty.. so they changed it for free.. my touch seems to be responsive than ever before.. haha!!

still grasping for the features of the new software.. but it seems the new software you can sync your contacts over the OVI.. also, the gps function works! haha!! i had fun on my way home )

i am not sure if anyone has noticed this before but on the facebook page it recognises my phone as 5800 and not N97 like it did after updating to v50. Any ideas why?
