Nokia 5800 - RM356 v40 - part custom firmware PNHT!!!! UPDATED check first post

With a VERY VERY big thanks to szakalit +10x100 and the rest of the PNHT

I have put together a custom mod for you guys to test

first of all most of you would have tried the hack from PNHT from http://forum.dailymobile.net/index.php/topic,17251.0.html

so follow those instructions on how to use jaf and to get firmware files

dont use RM356_40.0.005_023_xxx_U01.uda.fpsx from that post

the file you are gonna flash with is RM-356_40.0.005_prd.rofs2.V01 rename if your firmware file is called different

1) hard reset to get rid of the previous flash hack

2) place RM-356_40.0.005_prd.rofs2.V01 in the directory you use for flashing and rewrite previous file

3) replace RM356_40.0.005_023_xxx_U01.uda.fpsx with the orignal file

then flash..................

what you get in this custom firmware so far is............

1) changed blue logo startup changed to nokia hacked hands
2) changed startup animation changed to nokia hands with weed
3) theme effect slidespin remember to enable effects same
4) camera mod same
5) cache from c: to e: ?
6) landscape enabled on homescreen removed
7) and patcher.ldd patchershadow.ldd in z:/sys/bin permanant same

all you need to hack is install rp+lite

enjoy....  

pls leave all bugs and requests and ill see what i can do, but remember you cant have anything thats already in rom at the moment

yes, i know. but this is good start for own custom firmware

Steven, the first version of Spinslide didn't work very well on v.40 (the effect when pressing the menu button wasn't as fluid as it was on previous FW versions) so do you have a video of this cooked FW in effect so i can see if you need the edited version of Spinslide for v.40?

Also any chance of changing the Menu.mif from the green circle to the S60 logo, i can attach both effects and menu mif files....let me know.
