rumored new Nokia N-series phone (possibly N98/N8-00/N7-00)
-4" touchscreen bar
(originally 3.5" touchscreen N97-like QWERTY slider)
-WVGA resolution capacitive screen (with multi-touch)
-Symbian^3
-12MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics and xenon flash (no cover however)
-secondary camera
-720p video recording @ 30fps
-DivX playback
-3.5mm audio jack + HDMI port on the top
-SIM slot + MircoSD slot on the left (5800-like)
-microUSB on the left
-proximity sensor
-possibly internal battery (iPhone-like) (or removable battery with cover on the bottom instead of the back)

I'm pretty sure many have came across info on this rumored phone b4, but i couldnt find a dedicated thread on this topic so i opened up this one.
anyone have any comments or info on this phone?

IMO it looks quite promising, the simple design with one button looks like the LG Pop (button on right instead of left)

The source being from a chinese site gives it a 60% chance that it is probably a chinese phone. lol.

Somehow the phone does look like genuine Nokia. Eg. The Nseries font is a bit too thick. And there is no actual camera lens....looks like a dummy phone.

Where did you hear that from?

Symbian^3 is staying Symbian^3. http://developer.symbian.org/wiki/index.php/Symbian%5E3

@GandalfderWeise
I never heard of Symbian 5.2 either... after they moved on from Symbian OS to Symbian Flatform the naming convention has been ^1 to ^4

Isn't it logical?
Symbian^1 = s60 v5
Symbian^2 = s60 v5.1
Symbian^3 = s60 v5.2
etc...

Too little too late!

What will be the killer feature that makes the consumer buy the N8 and that will make the resellers try to sell it to the consumers that don't know what they want (the usual consumer)?

12Mpix and Xenon - Satio has it already
QWERTY - Milestone, N97, X10 pro, Vivaz Pro, N900, Shadow/Nexus Two
4" screen - HD2 (with way better res), Shadow/Nexus Two (better res yet again), Spica S (better res once again)
720p video recording - Vivaz, Spica S, OmniaHD

Sure this will be the first to combine all of those features, but without getting all the killer features it will be just another phone.

And this is my opinion, my very own opinion based on my first, second and third hand experience of the mobile market from a seller, service and support point of view.
