Default Nokia Lumia 620 Does Better than the Samsung Galaxy S3 in BenchMark Tests

It seems the upcoming low to mid range Nokia Windows Phone the Nokia Lumia 620 is making waves already. Over at GSM Arena they have been lucky enough to get their hands on one, have been testing it out and found out something interesting. The Nokia Lumia 620 beats out a lot of other higher end devices in benchmark tests including the Samsung Galaxy S3.

First lets look at the Lumia 620 specs so we know exactly what we are dealing with here.

[*]General: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS 850/900/1900/2100 MHz; HSDPA 21 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps[*]Form factor: Touchscreen bar[*]Dimensions: 115.4 x 61.1 x 11 mm, 76 cc; 127 g[*]Display: 3.8" 16M-color WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) ClearBlack TFT capacitive touchscreen[*]Chipset: 1GHz dual-core Krait processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 512MB RAM[*]OS: Windows Phone 8[*]Memory: 8 GB of inbuilt storage, microSD card slot (up to 64 GB)[*]Camera: 5 megapixel auto-focus, face and smile detection; 720p (1280 x 720) video recording at 30fps; VGA front-facing camera[*]Connectivity: dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, stereo Bluetooth 3.0, standard microUSB port, GPS receiver with A-GPS and GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, NFC[/list]

Below are the benchmark tests you can see where the 620 stacks up against your favorite smartphone. Remembering of course that this is a low end Windows Phone 8 device.

Why does it do so well with lower end specs? *My guess is simply because Windows Phone is more efficient that Android. *It has been my experience the Windows Phone simply runs more efficiently than Android on lower spec'd devices.
VIA

I'm not Android fan or Samsung fan but it won down the lightness of the browser.
It hasn't exactly got a heavy feature packed lump of a browser.

comparing 28nm kraits with previous gen 32nm exynos is unfair ! - why not optimus g or butterfly or nexus 4 instead - fear losing
