I did this on my 5800 fw 31.0.101 (the latest one) hacked. and it works perfect. i dont see the ring tones in music player. but i can see them in profile.settings- selecting ringtones. it worked magic for me. btw i was using xplore to edit the folder atfibutes.

I have almost the same problem on my N79 with firmware 30.019 (hacked). I used ActiveFile to change the attribute of the folder.
When trying to set the ringtone via the profile editor, the first sound shows as many times as there are files in the newly made system folder.

Also tried it on my 5800 w/ X-plore.. Everything seemed to be fine, but when I select a new ringtone I get "Ringtone format not supported".

you can also edit the mp3tag at album to ringtones, so they are named in the music player under album->ringtones.

How can I hide the normal mp3 files (normal music albums) from profile/settigngs/ringtone menu?
    So the other way?
