    And i dont think its the issue with the resolution , its about the hardware acceleration , and in s60v5 only realplayer supports hardware acceleration for videos , in s60v3 core player and smartmovie can play large avi's easily because of hardware acceleration not the low screen resolution

    A solution would be viewing it in 240x420 res on the screen perhaps....

    Hopefully Nokia will give 5530 and 5800 overclocked processor in next update but I'm not expecting it
    cpu is not important... the multimedia processor in 5800 is pretty adequate imo, it can play a 640x360 nHD 2000kb/s bitrate video smoothly, its just that core player does not utilize the hardware acceleration to play the videos. same goes for smartmovie. but the built in real-player does utilize h/w acceleration. i already suggested the same idea long back,
