Default [HELP NEEDED] Creating Clear homescreen

    Help needed!

Now that PNHT released their Widgetizer, we need a clear homescreen.
For that, I have taken the Basic homescreen and started editing it.

Now I ask you a few things:

    - Collect all BI.o00** files, where ** is your language code (01-english, 02-german, 17-hungarian, etcetera)

    Code:
    Z:\private\10207254\themes\271012080\270513751\271063148\1.0\
    - Collect all AI.o00** files where where ** is your language code (01-english, 02-german, 17-hungarian, etcetera)

    Code:
    Z:\private\10207254\themes\271012080\270513751\271063149\1.0\
    - Try to reverse engineer these files and create a scheme what can be applied to these o00** files. Syntax is very similar to .r** files, but not the same.
This would be the most important, as with this info, we could generate our own homescreen for widgetizer!
    - Edit the collected files and remove the icons from the bottom.

Liliantungary successfully removed the icons by editing the mif file and removing the icons, but I think there should be a better solution, what can include removing the top bar WITHOUT editing the CenRep file 10275102.txt .

Also by editing these files, it would be possible to add an own homescreen to the list, so you don't have to bother about removing basic.

If someone has any idea about the file format, please post it.

    Current discoveries:
    - The folder names aren't UID's. They look like they are, but while an app's UID must contain 8 (eight) hex character, they only contain 7 (seven).
    - The files consists of two parts:
    • The readable content part - this can be easily read by people. Looks very similar to an XML data file
    • A binary part - this can't be read, a big bunch of random characters. Purpose is unknown

    Currently collected languages:
    - For Basic:
    00,01,02,03,04,05,17,25,26,27,39
    - For Navigation Bar:
    00,01

I am waiting for any help here!

I tried this once many months before...
I remember trying to find a way to convert it into raw code.
I believe the key is XMLUIML(google it).
Some kind locking method of modification of interface elements by nokia...
It is very similar to xml...
I believe there are two parts...when u open it with notepad the first part is the mainly the styling elements and the jibberish u see below is the actual code that controls the interface elements.

To generate the raw code may require a parser. I dont know nothin abt xml except for words parser and DTD.
fonix232 cud u check this link may be it will help...Link Update: no point its just an xml parse util.

If this is possible i believe it wud be really big
coz we will be able to unlock all interface elements of symbian and edit it.
very little documentation exist it black area of nokia..

Thanks for reading so long...i know many things i said here must be moronic....

Indeed XMLUIML is the language the homescreens are written in, but this is a coded file as you can see. I am looking for a way to "de-code" these gibberish files to get a proper, valid XMLUIML file.

Does this patent say anything about creating new XMLUIML based interfaces?
If it isn't restricted, we can freely add an own homescreen without violating the patent, I think.
