Default Re: Phone Hacking Do-It-Yourself Tutorial

    Hello oreo27,

I hope you can help me my friend, I have tried to make my own hack then flash but all attempts have failed. Each time the flash seems successful but no RomPatcher in Applications.

The current official firmware currently on the phone is the version I was trying to flash with (hacked). It had v11.0.102 before the first flash.

    Phone details:
Nokia N97 Mini 8GB Cherry Black
    Australia APAC
    Type RM-555
    Official v12.0.110 firmware
    Custom version 12.0.110.C01.01

Here are the steps I've taken so far:

    • ** I am unable to get firmware from Navifirm because I always get a "Communication Error" [WebException] when i open the program so I used btusers.c0m. Perhaps these files are not compatible with my phone.
    • ** I used your tutorial and placed the appropriate hack into the uda.
    • ** I placed all files into appropriate Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-555\ folder.
    • ** I then used Phoenix to flash the phone. Each time the flashing ends in this error: pastebin.c0m/XEuxpqjd
    • ** After the error, the phone just sits with the Nokia logo on screen, then after a while switches to OFF charging mode. When I switch ON i enter all setup details (date/time etc).
    • ** I tried to overcome that error by hitting "Refurbish" with original firmware and then when Phoenix asks about missing files, replace the original with my hacked version, then confirm continue. This didn't work either.
    • ** I also tried a hard reset before flashing. Didn't work.
    • ** I did all these steps approx 10+ times and never got RomPatcher in the applications list.

Any help / suggestions would be appreciated!

    Regards,
    JonDgls

you won't have rom patcher on the list, instead, you'll have a hacked installserver.

you can simply install rom patcher after that.

alright , if it doesn't work, reply again. U might need to change product code of ur mobile. Tutorial could be found in the forum. Do search. Best of luck and post if problem persists.
