I think it may have to be. Have you tried using a more powerful file browser like ActiveFile or NokiaFileBrowser?

As a side note, i recommend installing version 1.36 of jbak taskman (the latest version 1.37 does not provide solution (1) below). If you set this up in a certain way it allows the following:

    1) Pressing centre menu button takes you to SPB menu, repeated presses just keep bringing up SPB menu too - hiding the default symbian menu!

    2) If you wish to use the SPB task manager in the carrousel, you can set jbak taskman such that it takes a veeeerryy long press of the centre button before it shows..so you can just have it sitting there, hidden almost, but controlling your centre button to hide the horrible symbian menu forever.

The only thing i now need to work out is how to hide apps from the SPB task manager..

    Stay posted :-)

You will need a hacked phone then with the open4all patch applied I believe. Sorry. But at least with the vivaz you get a smaller status bar at the top ;-)

Try the manufacturer capabilities version, although you will need to get it signed (if you can?)

@ GringoSteve - thanks mate +1 for you. awesome guide, thought there was stuff in there we could mod but never had the courage to try.. I've managed to mod the carousel fine but can anything else be placed on there??
    media player etc??
Also I've been trying to do your menu mod tricks but were do I find the imagepath id for icons and the file id for the apps themselves
keep up the great work gringo....

tried the manuf version , cannot install it at all (stupid Sony Ericsson) Tried the extended version , installed fine, but the same as basic version : no private folder..
Also tried x-plore but it just shows private folder and cann't access it (open it )

    Any other solution?
And an idea : I can create a folder called Private in C .. :S
Maybe if I create excact the same folders , will I be able to edit the final file?

PS: Dont have a memory card right now..Could this affect anything?
    Ps 2 : Just saw this : http://www.imserba.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106071
Cannot understand it very well though , and idk if it works..

it says to search for e ( in the memory card ,) but i want in C?
