It isn't overclocking man, Symbian "underclock" (compress) images and videos by default to save space, this mod just configures the phone so that it doesn't compress them, thus improving the quality.

There is no mod that solves the problem.
Remove the battery cover and look through the acrylic. You will see that it distorts colors, especially white. The problem is just that.

Even after removing the acrylic, the image is of same quality. I was able to compare the the image of a 5800 and 5230. The 5230 Picture is very very good compared to the 5800. The problem is that it lacks brightness and 5800 need high lighting to get a nice picture. 5230 need little light to produce a very nice picture.

    How is that POSSIBLE?

yes really.. better post the shots 2 compare..
and if 5230 has good 2mp module, well, it's hot phone (just look at the price.. )
nokia can do good if they want. i remember N70's cam was damn hot compared to crappy N90's one even N90 has Zeiss lens..

and 5800 doesn't need much light to get a good shot. it needs sunlight to get digital camera quality photo. in usual conditions (ex indoor picture, daylight) it can produce just a medium quality pic with little noise. the keyword is little. it's cam is very good..

Explanation is "izzzy" just look at the zeiss lense... its so small so it cant capture enough light.. quzlity is perfect but lacks of light. If it would have been bigger..it would be perfect )

    Yes, that's right.
    Look at the pictures.
One of the battery cover is made, the other without.
    The difference speaks for itself.

I got no problem with the battery cover, photo is the same with the cover or without it.
But I have a tip to improve de photo quality:
Put on Night mode with Flash on.
    Put contrast to 0.5+
    Force ISO to LOW

EDIT: You guys with problem with the cover, maybe it's just... dirt.
