not without a stub file. as far as i know there is no stub for the file you want to update, so no, this isn't possible.

Is it possible to create a stub manually?

yes, it is possible, it's not that simple though.

first you would have to have a custom firmware. i don't know how to do this exactly as i don't know if it also requires to have the proper uid for the app. then of course the stub file itself is not that easy to make, i don't know how make it myself

Aww, too bad, that would enable modding without c2z. And that would be very cool as im currently developing an rompatcher-like app for mods, bootanimations and that stuff.

All the time i'm getting "Cannot install. Component inbuilt.". How to fix it?

I wanna put one file in C:\private\10282BC4\[...] folder.

If i change installation type to "Augmentation" then I see "Cannot install. First install base package."

Thats really strange, when set to augmentation and with right uid it should be no problem to copy a new rule to 10282BC4.

Maybe it only works for txt files, but anyway, release ur modified theodore_chargerlight.rul, most users aren't to dumb to use a filemanager

that's because your assumptions are wrong. it's not that simple. there is no 10282BC4 stub file. it does not exist.

the difference is the UID 10202BE9 has a stub file CenRepStub.sis in z:\sys\install which is what we augment/eclipse

so basically, we need a stub file with that UID. otherwise, this method will not work.
