    Default I found the right way to change the web browser cache C: to E: in 5800 FW 50.

    Taking 101F8557.txt the original file you just change the following lines:
    ( web browser cache )

    ..
    cenrep
    version 1
    [defaultmeta]
    0
    [platsec]

    [Main]
    0x1 int 1 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail
    0x2 int 8192000 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail
    0x3 string "e:\\system\\cache" 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail
    0x4 string "e:\\system\\cache\\op" 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail
    0x5 int 300000 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail
    0x6 string "http://host53.nokia-boston.com/Cache...Op_Menu.xhtml" 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail
    0x7 int 1 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail
    0x8 string "e:\\system\\cache\\vss" 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail
    0x9 int 3000000 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail
    0xA string "http://www.vodafone.com;http://172.1...ia-boston.com" 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail
    0xB int 1 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail
    0xC int 0 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail
    0xD int 6291456 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail
    0xE int 30000000 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail
    0xF string "10008D39;1;7168;E;10282822;1;512;E;102829A0;1;512 ;E;" 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail

    Here you have to assign the value of the cache:in the last line 0xF

    10008D39 = Browser (7168)
    10282822 = Widgets (512)
    102829A0 = SecureWidgetInstaller (512)

    ...Basically I changed the cache to 8192 just like the FW 40, the difference is the last line 0xF

    1 - the cache size, plus the 3 points above, does not exceed the total in my case of 8192

    thanks! garf02

    caching to e: drive is not a good idea . because :

    microSD is slower than c drive . you may not notice much diff at first , but as your memory card fills up and gets fragmentatated you'll notice phone gets slower and slower .

    Writing to memory card is more battery intensive operation .

    microSD cards have limited write life , so more use use microsd for writing data , more prone to damage your card will be .

    I disagree, the memory card is faster than the memory "c" and the less memory to be using the "c" more performance will have your phone ... if you think the card will be damaged by using more memory can also ruin the "c" and there will be worse because if the card is only to buy another!

    Thanks for the patch!

    It wont ruin the card that easily, but performance will be slower than on C.. Memory cards are slower and Requires more current..

    My card is class 6 and is actually faster than c.
    Energy consumption in this case is insignificant, if so think better throw my trash in 5800 why not to install anything on the 70mb memory c.
