For those who dont understand why I simply dont install x-plore on c:\, I want to have it after hardreset.
yes you can create copies to c drive of all contents of z drive...

thanks for this post i was able to get rid of installing appications from memory card after every hard reset... but my scriptinit is very long right now but hey it gets the job done...

    here's my scriptinit file:

I used RD and MD a lot since i want to remove contents of the folders and recreate them without using format so that the images and musics will stay intact after hard reset...

I first did a format of the memory card and took note of all files and folder and edited the scriptinit to "format" the system created folders... ^_^

it doesn't create the resource folder neither in E nor in C...

the rest of the functions work properly...

    this is very strange...

this is the first piece of the code:
    CP Z:\System\data\RPPlus.dat
    CD C:\
    MD patches\
    CP Z:\Patches\* C:\patches\
    // INSTALLS ROMPATCHER

    CD C:\Private\10003a3f\
    MD import\
    CD C:\Private\10003a3f\import\
    MD apps\
//STANDARD PRIVATE IMPORT APPS FOLDERS IN C

    CD C:\
    MD resource\
    CD C:\resource\
    MD apps\
// CREATES STANDARD RESOURCE APPS FOLDER IN C
// DATA IS PRESENT IN C SO DOESNT NEED TO BE CREATED
// SYSTEM DATA AND SYSTEM APPS ARE ALREADY PRESENT IN C

    did you use place
    Code:
    CD E:\
    RD resource\
    before

    Code:
    MD resource\
    ?

you probably have a resource\ folder in the first place?

strange because everytime i flash my unit without fomatting my memcard i don't have the installing applications from memory card popping out anymore meaning my script works... ^_^

you don't need to copy patches folder in e or c, it can remain in z ( i just don't know if RPPlus.dat has a reference on where the patches are installed so if it does then you definitely should put it in the location where RPPlus.dat knows where to look

in C think it creates all folders automatically...

there is no resource folder in C at startup (at least not in my i8910)

and I've been told in the developer.symbian forum, that you can't create the resource folder because you have no TCB capabilities...

so no program which needs copying the resource folder in C or E is gonna work, if the resource folder is not there by default...

    this is bad

I won't be able to install opera preserving the ability to change the settings ...

    script can't :

    - copy hash file to C
    - copy persists *.cre to C
    - copy E\dir1 to E\dir2
    - copy E to C
    - copy C to E

    this is my test.

    Sweet stuff.
I put The Patches folder in rofs2, then added lines for.
    Cache on E, Downloads, Patches.
    It looks like this.
    Code:
    PLUGINS

    CD C:\Private\

    MD E:\Downloads\

    MD E:\System\

    MD E:\System\cache\

    MD E:\Patches\

    CP Z:\Patches\* E:\Patches\

    MD 200009F3\

    CD 200009F3\

    CP Z:\Private\200009F3\schema.mde

    CP Z:\Private\200009F3\defaultimportfile.mde

    CP Z:\Private\200009F3\backup_registration.xml

    CD C:\Private\

    MD 10281E17\

    CD 10281E17\

    CP Z:\Private\10281E17\backup_registration.xml

    CD C:\Private\

    MD 200009F5\

    CD 200009F5\

    CP Z:\Private\200009F5\backup_registration.xml

    CP Z:\Private\200009F5\mappings.db

    MD C:\Data\Others\

    CD C:\Data\Others\

    CP Z:\Private\200009FD\MdEExampleImportMetadata.mde

    CP Z:\Private\200009FD\test_schema.mde

    CD C:\Private\

    MD c:\Data\Images\Backgrounds\

    MD C:\private\2000C4D4\

    CD C:\

    MD xmppui\

    CD C:\Private\

    MD 2001A94D\

    CP Z:\Private\2001A94D\* C:\Private\2001A94D\
