Default [UPDATED]: boost the startup process (by swordlink)!

besides enlargeing ram via firmware cooking there's a newbie friendly variant to improve the startup..

THIS WORKS FOR ALL SYMBIAN DEVICES

    - at first make sure, you have a hacked phone
    - then download the service app "kill me" from here or from attachement
    - install and run the app
    - afterwards, open the menu, toggle termination on startup and set "on" for following processes:

    *vcommandmanager.exe
    *logs.exe
    *friendswidget.exe (contactsbar)
    *coowebkitui.exe
    *phonebook2.exe
    *clockapp.exe

looking forward to find more processes which slowdown the phone at startup

furthermore i found a application which can easily boost your s60 device: SymCleanup v1.1

    cheers

Killing *friendswidget.exe (contactsbar) would terminate the contacts bar on home screen, isnt it ?

vcommandmanager.exe is for voice recognition, I use this, so won't kill it.

How often do you guys turn off/on the phone anyway? Usually, mine goes for weeks without being turned off (except the custom rom modding lately).

How much of a speed improvement do you get?
5-7s would not make any significant diff IMHO.

Also pls add this to the first post

    *vcommandmanager.exe > Voice Recognition
    *logs.exe > Phone logs
    *friendswidget.exe (contactsbar)
*coowebkitui.exe > I dont know what this is
    *phonebook2.exe > Contacts
*clockapp.exe > wont this kill the clock?
