However, you still miss all the dlls. Almost every dll has changed from 5800 homescreen.
    Hi,
i have research and collected all HS file dependencies (*.dll, *.rsc, *.rxx) by opening contents of all .mmp file types in HS package with Visual Studio.
Also i used private/200159c0 folder and a few HS related folder in rofs2 cooking, but my phone was not booted after flash...

The problem is that most of dependency dll and other file types are located in N97's *.C00 core file. Even if i found related neceserray files of N97 HS by extracting C00 file, it still looks like impossible to run N97's HS on 5800.
Because contents of C00 file still unsupported for modding with NokiaEditor program. So that i flashed necessary dependency files of HS and 200159c0 folder to 5800 via modified rofs2. Unfortunately, not succeed...
I predict that when modified rofs2 content (e.g. N97 matrix menu and widget featured files) flashed to phone, conflict with 5800 menu files in unmodified (original) 5800's C00 file content.
Unless modifying C00 file content, 5800's original menu and HS related files could not be removed and cause to conflict with N97's HS related files...

So Mr. Jake could you tell me that my assumption is correct or wrong?
If this prediction is correct, how N97's matrixmenu and HS related files could be replaced with 5800's menu and HS related files?

the better way would be at the first time to run the N97 homescreen on top of the original one, like gdesk or handy shell

i figured that could be a problem. You may be able to put the core files on C:\ and deactivate them by copying them to Z using rofs2 in name and extension only (aka as dummy files). You will need to flash it to C:\'s fat16 image so that the device boots rather than trying to install them afterwords (which I'm sure will not work).

No.. you need to boot to install an application but the os won't boot because it won't have its boot screens dlls. they must already be there. The only way to do that is to burn them to C:\'s image. the downfall is you will not be able to do a hard-reset. If your device goes down you will need to re-flash using J.A.F

I think this will work for now until we get access to the core file. Then you can move the dill's to the core file and hard-reset all you want.

    PS..
you may also need to redirect all occurrences of paths for the files in the 200159c0 folder from Z:\ to C:\. I dont know. maybe it self assigns

I'm going to attach an installed 200159c0 folder that resides in C:\ private of my N97. (again) this is the extracted and installed file! Comparing the two should give you guys a better idea of whats going on after it installs and what directories it points to. FYI..The 3rd party widgets are not mandatory. I have many widgets that are no longer on my device & everything works fine.
