Default [Request] Remove 5800's GPS bug (PHNT and rem_dm being called)

Hi! You know, when we update our phones or when we make an hard-reset, GPS (only) gets very fast? And when at 2nd attempt, it takes minutes and sometimes doesn't even connect!

Can someone solve this bug, to get great FREE GPS (without A-GPS nor Operator-base)?

    Cheers!

gps totally depends on satellite's position..so it may take time to connect..

The short answer is no. The time to first fix for a completely cold and unassisted GPS will take no less than 12 and a half minutes to obtain the almanac, often more if you are in a poor reception area. (Flashing your phone leaves the GPS in a cold factory state, as does various reset modes)

If your phone has the almanac stuff already, it shouldn't take more than 30 to 60 seconds to get the ephemeris, though this will vary depending if you have a clear sky or not.

A-GPS downloads ephemeris and almanac stuff very quickly, so your time to first fix can be just a few seconds.

Almanac is the general system health and rough orbits of all GPS satellites. These satellites transmit GPS messages continuously at a regular intervals (at 30 second frame). The messages contain various data, including time, almanac and ephemeris.
Some stand-alone dedicated GPS navigation devices (such as TomTom devices) provide the possibility to load such an info into your device just before you start driving. A-GPS is doing the same thing: passing the necessary info to GPS receiver, so that a cold" start turns a "warm" start.
