    Follow these steps:
    1) Go to File Manager in your phone, select Backup, choose what to backup (don't select Settings). Then do Options > Back up now.
    2) {This step is optional} Connect the phone to your PC and sync the content using OVI Suite.
    3) Connect the phone to you PC and copy your data (photo, music, video, documents...) to PC.
You can automatize this process by using The Symbian Tool (optional, search in the apps section).
    4) Proceed with the firmware update...deep reset the phone...update...
    5) Go to File Manager in your phone, select Backup, then Options > Restore.
    6) Connect the phone to you PC and copy your data (photo, music, video, documents...) back to the phone.

Do you want your music being played while on a call and the person you are talking to can hear it?

Use earphones or the free headset and plug it in.

Turn on the Music Player then play a song that you like. Adjust the volume to he right volume so that you can still hear the person you are talking to, you can try to put the volume to mid.

Next call the person you want to speak to, music player app should still be running and would be on "pause" mode.

When you are now having a conversation with someone, you can navigate back to music player and resume playing. You both can now hear the music playing on the background. Adjusting the volume will increase the combined volume set on the music player and the earpiece volume. If you max the music player volume and max the volume of the earpiece, you wont be able to hear one another.

I discovered it while i was listening to music and got a call. try it on your 5800 since mine is 5530.

    Hi!

    What can I do?
I can't install anything on my phone,it writes: "Certificate may not yet be valid ,is expired or phone's date setting may be incorrect"
That shows up every time I want to install an application.
On the browser (the simple one ,I couldn't install skyfire) on the Ovi it says:
"Page not found.Check web addres." But actually it brings it up.

And when at PC suite asked to upgrade the phone it syas the same (Certificate may not yet be valid ,is expired or phone's date setting may be incorrect) and on the PC writes update failed.

    Please help!

    1. Restart your phone if the memory less than 30MB, you could either soft reset (User a dialer and dial 5 * * then call)
I tried this but it didn't work... Are you sure this code isn't missing some more characters, such as # ?
    Thanks

    1. Always turn off wireless scanning, Bluetooth when not in use
    2. For those not using 3G, choose your network mode to “GSM” instead of “Dual mode” which will consume more battery. Settings -> Connectivity -> Network mode -> GSM
    3. Less Display Light
    a. Setting -> Phone -> Display -> light sensor (move the slider to the left)
    b. Setting -> Phone -> Display -> Light Time-Out (lesser time to save battery but annoying if too short while you are playing games)
    4. Always terminate the application properly that is not using by using Option ->Exit. It might be running background and consuming battery which you don’t know.

Thx,but I have a little problem: I move the slider in the light sensor to left(to minimum),then I tap OK.But after a time it skips back to the normal light . What shall I do?
