it seems this phone has serious hardware issues...
there's alot of various issues regarding the hardware malfunction.
LCD problem, PCB problem, earpiece problem, battery contact problem etc

When i buy a nokia 5800, its reboots by its own, the problem was the battery that moves a little bit inside the phone.
Its fix changing the battery. I hope this solve your problem.

It could be the sim card.
I had a 3 year old sim card that kept on making my 5800 reboot.
I replaced the handset, but it still kept on rebooting.
I read on another forum that some older sim card give problems on newer hardware.
So what I did was to replace my sim with a newer 3G one.
It now hasn't restarted for a week..
