do you not have warranty on this phone, even tho you bought it from the retailer online? if you have no warranty your best bet is to wait for a firmare upadte and if you don't mind paying take it to nokia care point so they can have a look at your device.

so it is a loose battery contact problem?

I have dropped my phone twice

The build quality of the phone seems to be real bad.

    how did u do that?
    can u take the picture?

but my problem is quite unique..it's working fine when in hot/warm condition.

and the only thing i did was changed the product code as well prior to updating the firmware... now i already changed back to original product code though.

my original product code is 0559427.

anyone who experienced the same issue and find out the solution, don't hesitate to post here.

actually i have sent the phone to NCC but apprently they don't have the latest firmware to reflash my phone, so i took it back since i don't want my phone on the NCC without actually they are trying to repair my phone.
so i resort trying to solve the problem on my own until they have the latest firmware.

.....same as yamen, I did insert a paper on the battery at the back so my phone will not shut off esp. when its in my pocket. It did not shut off anymore. The second thing I did is I slightly bend the battery pins on the mobile so that to be fully connected to the battery itself and its not shutting off anymore.....

i can confirm mine is not a problem with battery contact since the phone rebooting and later die on its own even i put the phone on the table.
furthermore i have done the insert paper method and it's still happened.

To all having a self shut down problem. ......
Yep, Had the same problem. Phone dying (shutting down on itself) every other minute. Had A fight with Nokia service centre Idiots. Ultimately wrote a letter in institutional pad to the manager, and threatened consumer court action. Now received it back from service center today. Motherboard changed. New IMEI no. Working fine. Cant believe Nokia brought out such a crappy phone. (from AIIMS/ Delhi/India).

So if you have such a problem.... don't quit pestering them till your voice is heard. They are bound by law to do it.
