    @faizuddin bhai

    Just install nokia Pc suite(7.1) make a backup of your entire phone user data,settings,memorycard user data,contacts ,etc....its simple.....
    Then format your phone memory by doing *#7370#(d.c is 12345)
    After that format your memory card via file manager in your phone(inbuilt)......
    By this way you will not loose anything.....maps,apps,and songs or settings.....

    But what do you think the problem can be? I have used Nokia devices for many years and am completely addicted to them so I am really surprised with this issue...

    Nothing is preloaded on the memory card.

    Only the items you have transferred to it will be deleted, so basically anything on it.

    If you're worried about the rebooting, it's wise to try all solutions. Even if it means losing things. Those are always recoverable.

    Well, guess what - I formatted the SD card and did a hard reset and the problem still persists. Another blog suggested that it could be a problem wtih the SIM card...I am changing that as well. I guess the only thing now left is to return the phone to Nokia...what do you suggest?

    Taskman is your friend,you can monitor processes that are working in the background and that you can't see with the normal menu,and of course TERMINATE them

    Funny thing.... well not really. Mine is starting to do some weird stuff, like rebooting and resetting itself..... I'm gonna flash today and see if that helps. Otherwise, I'm SOL......
