the email client application is in the main menu/messages folder. I think you have to configure it to be able to use it. The wizard should help you with all configurations. as long as your mail provider support pop3 (nowadays all support it) you are good to go.

I've tried, doesn't work so well. I've looked at Seven also and they're still not up to date.

So wanted to know if Google is planning on releasing a good touch Gmail app, like that on the iPhone, easy and simple to use/set up and actually takes up the whole screen rather than having fake soft hardware keys on the screen and so on..

i bout my 5800 friday too!

The Menu - Messaging email client did not work either for me. Tried with Gmail and another IMAP email provider. It downloaded only old emails, although I specified that it should retrieve All. Tried to store data in phone memory and on memory card. I couldn't figure out why it got only those messages and not the others.

Googled about it and found that one person suggested that if you move in Gmail all your messages to Junk and then back to Inbox then it would download all, but this trick didn't work for me.

I tried multiple times deleting the Mailbox config and trying again, following the Symbian instructions in Gmail help. I tried both POP3 and IMAP4. I tried before and after updateing firmware. I even reset my phone and formatted the memory card.

It had also problems opening the messages that it managed to download, showed only subject and said sth like couldn't format message. Anyway, after getting the Gmail java app to work fullscreen I gave up on Nokia Messaging.
