Is there a simple way to use a wallpaper as idle screen? I mean even the upper part of the screen, does it need a soft?

Not the logo but the upper band, now I am using the original 5800 theme + wallpaper = the upper part is dark fading which is not so bad,it's better than taking credits for a MBA in Carbide

it is generally not possible to do, wallpaper only covers a part of the screen unless you design a whole black theme or wall paper by yourself there is no way to make it full screen. this is the same issue as on s60 3rd. devices, can't do it either.
