Default [5800] Most of my SMS now have wrong time (FIXED!)

    Hi,

I just noticed this today. 90% of my sent and received messages (except the most recent ones) have a wrong time info. It looks like they've been sent or received 1 hour later than the normal. For example, I received a message at 2pm and it says 3pm instead. I'm sure this wasn't happening 1 or 2 weeks ago.
I can absolutely not say since when this is happening... I had to make a hard reset one week ago but I'm not sure this is the problem.

Can it be due to the summer time adjustment last week-end? All the options in my phone are correct (time, date, time fuse). I also tried to define the fuse setting to "local time" and "GMT +1" (Portugal is the same of UK) but nothing changes.

Does anyone have a kind of explanation for this? It's annoying, because I cannot "trust" my messages to say when they've been sent or received.

    Thank you very much

Ok, I confirm that this is due to the time fuse. I don't know why Portugal appears as "GMT +1", as much as London, when it should be GMT. When I try to change to a GMT fuse (Like Azores Islands), my SMS time is OK.

So, how to put GMT to Portugal instead of GMT +1?

I was going to say. If its one hour off then it might have something to do with the Daylight Saving Time? The clock was brought forward last weekend I think. Check if the time inconsistency started from back then.

Yes, it's probably related. When I go to the clock menu, there is a sun icon near the date. It wasn't there before. It can only be due to the Daylight Saving Time. But how can I turn it off or fix?
For now I need to define another fuse to get things correct.

It might be that your operator hasn't reversed the time by an hour. Maybe that's why your SMS's are displayed as being recieved an hour later since this timin is the operators official time.

Problem fixed. After choosing a GMT timezone (like Azores), I defined it to "local time" again and the time stood correct.
But I don't know WHY this did happen.

Thank you all for your help!
