Also i did a soft reset so my phones original settings should be back

    I think some other members have also reported this issue when they were using Opera next to the default browser. Try to check the access points and set them as Always ask.

    @Kcube989,
    Maybe you should stick to Opera for all browsing?
    If it works, then continue to use it.
    I use the default browser, so can't see if Opera takes over some connection settings.

    hey all. i jus downloaded the wefi app. i have doubt and question.

    doubt: all that wefi does is tht connect to free hotspots right?? is it just to those to which i have previously connected or new ones too? hw does it know it?? does it scan often? if u have some links to video tht explains auto wefi you may put tht :-)

    Question: i just installed it from wefi site. it shows many squares on my phone for the fonts. but i can read the tabs like spots, status and apps

    any idea y this is happening ??

    @sajinseethi,
    Wefi would scan for all available networks and connect to those that you choose: automatic or manually.
    It gives you a bit more information about the type of network. For example, a network might be open, but it might require you to sign on.
    The icons are for you to select a course of action, and the tabs are for information purposes. Look this video for more info:

    now i understand my problem. my previous serveice provider allows web browsing in their wap site even if your blance is 0 but in my service provider now, you should have at least 1 to browse their wapsite

    usta,

    I have found out why my phone keeps dropping wifi connection, it is because 5800 is not compatible with Netgear 270 Mbps mode. Switching to 130 Mbps mode or lower speed, the problem is fixed. Anyway, many thanks for your help.

    In case you haven't tried 'hard reset' then give it a try.
    But, remember to back up your phone_memory data.

    Default Finally found out solution for no gateway reply for 5800

    Hello people,
    No gateway reply post has been posted 'n' number of times and we have 'n+∞' post suggesting solutions...But unfortunately none of them work cause people have some other the other problem. :P....So I was giving a last try connecting my 5800 to wifi...And Eureka!!! this time it got connected...
    What I did is:

    1)just changed my router's security mode to WPA/WPA2-(Personal PSK)
    2)Authentication mode to WPA-PSK+WPA2-PSK
    3)Entered the password required
    4)Created wi-fi connection on my 5800..
    5)Connection successful without getting 'No gateway reply error'

    People please try this and do reply whether you were successful or not....

    Thnx
