    Most likely the school is using proxy network, where the settings should be configured manually in 5800XM (select the access point and go to the Advanced settings).

    what should i put then? i guess ill ask for details bout the connection in our school. I asked this question on our schools unofficial forum and one said that his friends iTouch cant use the wifi either

    If the WLAN is using a proxy server, you need to know the exact settings like Proxy server address and port number. Try to get the full settings and input them manually.

    Yes. Except the encryption passwords may be masked. Best to ask the school IT admin.

    how can i connect to the internet in my computer through the 5800 as a wifi device. ?
    (like wifi usb) and be access from the neigber ?

    i cant find wifi option under connectivity 
    CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT?
    if needed i can post screen shot of menu under connectivity option..... there is no wlan option there ....

    there is an app called joikuspot (not sure about the spelling) that makes your 5800 as a wifi device but it only works with 3G connection. if your 5800 is using and connected to wifi you wont be able to access it, only 3G connection is alowed with that app
