I have no problems connecting to any wirelesses, except for school because they only allow certain MAC addresses to connect.

Do you think so? Any way to get around that?

Another friend of mine says that he has used it with a iPod touch without a single problem. Just entered the WPA key and he was ready to go.

I'm from Singapore too and I am facing the same problem but I have come to realise that it is definitely a problem with Singnet or any other so-called Free Wireless Connection. I have tried with icell and the rest, same problem.
Now I just connect at home....

I have already done the standard procedures of getting an account to surf with but the problem is i cant connect to the public network at all. my phone gets to displaying "Connecting to wireless@sg" and it freezes there. Any advice besides using gprs?

you can set your computer for adhoc if you have a wireless hardware... to let your phone connect to your computer and enjoy browsing..

If you have a LAN connection then you can use your phone to log into msn. All you need to do is Go to your wifi manager(or if you have the shortcut on yourbstanby screen) search for lan and connect yourself to it.

If you don't have any LAN connection then you had to contact your phone operator and ask them for your Internet settings. Once out have got them you can go on the web by using your phones packet data.

Hope This helps, don't mind to ask any other questions
