    Default Omnia HD uses S60V5?

Forgive my ignorance, but what is common in terms of the operating system in the 5800 and the Omnia HD? Visually, they seem completely different.

Same OS with fancy UI over it and due to have enough powerhorse, this UI seems to works fine on omnia hd. Yup it won't on 5800

On hardware side I could say the batterylife would be longer if it uses the exact same OS as 5800. Cpu, screen ... almost everything on it uses less power than 5800 but who knows, the UI might kill it.

I read an article several years ago which used animal similes to describe mobile phone manufacturers. It said that "Samsung is like a dromedary camel". I have yet to see this disproven :P

The symbian version on a nokia and samsung is always different. Nokia uses the 'real' symbian one, while the others get some sort of copy symbian, same features, but differently designed (software wise).
