Nokia 5800 is great for me... i think n97 is for people who want to combine business and and fun...
and 5800 is for young or for middle age people who want to feel as if they where 16 to 18... and its a great feature of 5800...

Well, I think it would be another tragical misfit by Nokia. I mean you'll still suffer from the limited compatible applications and games and I don't think there will be a difference in performance in terms of fastidiousness. Nokia should leave the touch screen powered devices for pros. At least that's what I think!

5800 is really great for its price.

Tell me one phone which has nHD screen (640x360), Full Touch Screen, 8gb(16 gb ex) memory, Bluetooth ,WiFi, 3G, 3.5 jack, TV-Out, Decent Camera with flash, Flash/SWF Support, You Tube Support, Great Music Quality, Stereo Speakers, FM radio with RDS, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor for the same or lesser price than 5800.

N97 is going to have all this but with an improved camera, a physical keyboard, FM transmitter, 32gb fixed memory, FM transmitter. 3 inch bigger screen with same res, 40gms heavier and bigger than 5800 . Also it will have the same OS (So apps will work on both ). I dont think i would pay much more, maybe twice than what i paid for 5800 just for the mentioned enhancements... besides it comes in two bad colors, white and brown..now that just sucks big time.

haha, i think 5800 is innocent, earlier it was in battle with the iphone...but sooner, it will be in battle with n97...and i think it will still win as da best touchscreen, coz tha n97 is overpriced....

Well Nokia has Internet Tablet line and they used to make touchscreen phones before. And why people are saying there won't be different in performance when the spec for CPU isn't even released yet :|

    Don't underestimate the 5800.

Even though it's half the price, it replaced my N96 without any loss of functionality.

If anything the N97 will have a hard time justifying it's price over the 5800, it's almost as if Nokia will be forced to reduce quality of firmware updates and possible functionality of the 5800 to justify the N97s price. Not good.

The n97 works on S60 v5, so does the 5800. It has the same resolution.

So all applics will work on both?

    Or am I wrong?
