    Default (question) *.nbu backup files

Hello guys I'm facing a weird problem with the Ovi suite: it does not recognize my 5800 anymore.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall it, deleting all the registry entries I found but nothing.
Tried to hard reset, format the memory card, reflash the cfw but still nothing.
Uninstalled all the drivers such as mtp etc but nothing.

Now I have a phone without any contact! The only file I have is the backup made with ovi suite when it was working: it's a .nbu file.
Since ovi does not detect my phone when linked via usb cable, what can I do to have -at least- my contacts back on my phone??
I moved that nbu file in the memory card and tried to open it with the backup application in the phone but it says it can't handle that file!

    Please help!!

P.S. also tried to make a fresh install of ovi suite in a different computer but had the same problem, phone not recognized!

You can use Nbu Explorer: http://sourceforge.net/projects/nbuexplorer/

It will allow you to explore the contents of your nbu file.

Yes thanks Jonas I did it but I need it to restore the whole phonebook into the phone, not only explore the nbu file.

The idea was to export the contacts in order to send them back to the phone but you still need your PC recognizing your phone...

Have you tried to connect your phone via bluetooth (not usb) ?

Yep just connected via bluetooth and it works!
Now the problem is that via bluetooth map loader doesn0t seem to work.

EDIT: downloading right now, I'll let u know.
