    Default 5800 headset & pc

Hey, I'm on my summer holidays right now and I've left my regular (pc) microphone behind. I do have my phone (5800xm) and the headset it came with(http://www.mobile-laden.com/images/h...ia_hs55org.jpg), with me.
So I'm wondering, is it possible to use the microphone of the headset with the computer? Or is it possible to use the phone microphone with the computer connected via the usb cable? Would prefer the first option more, but anything would do!

Yes you can, just unplug the earphone from the controls/microphone thingy and plug that thingy to the pink (usually pink) mic plug on your pc/notebook!

That's completly irrelevant... Your advice will only allow getting the phone's earset sound on the PC, with terrible quality.

Yeah I've tried using it like that, thought there might be some whatever solution for fixing it though...

Iirc the male plug on the nokia controller/mic accessory is actually propietary, so no, you won't be able to use it with a PC.

    Afaik.

Alright, what I feared, seemed a bit hopeless anyways without separate input/output cables.

Btw you can get better sound quality if you don't plug the headphones in all the way, but they still suck :P.
