Default Nokia 5800 Death Grip (iPhone 4 antenna issues)

The YouTube member shingobg decided to make a "Death Grip" test with his Nokia 5800. Will the Nokia 5800 drop to the ranks of not so puuurrrfect signal strength..? Find out after the break!

What's the point of this test just for the sake of showing that 5800 has a death grip test? when actually in practical life, you are not going to hold the phone the way you did.

Btw, on my 5800, the death grip in the video doesn't drop the signal. Even if it did, how can you say that the problem is present in all phones, when no one is going to hold the phone, the way you showed in the video. Also, you removed the hands immediately(just like Apple videos) when the bars drop, i bet, if you hold it longer, the signal strength will jump back up.

So this attempt is a fail, but i am sure, some Apple fan boys will jump onto it.

Bear in mind that our 5800 is "big", if you like to open up the phone, you will see that the guts are surrounded by thick plastic. So I am not too surprise that our 5800 is invulnerable to the grip.

if you can make a Nokia N82 drop from 7 signal bars to No signal...I will give you a beer. I couldn't. And, trust me, I tried every single grip that could cross my mind. Just to make it loose a single bar. It didn't! It's also true that if you have only 2 bars and you grip it in i don't know what SF way...it will probably drop signal, but not in normal test conditions.

My nokia 5800 doesn't loose any signal. Viceverso it adds three bars of signal when i hold it in that position. don't have any problem with the signal lose in real life... Apple must be ashamed for their creation (№4). Nokia is one of the highest quality phones on the market. Won't even try to have an apple product.
    Sorry for my english...

So it have to be your phone or your network that sucks

just tried this on my friends 5800 (my old 5800 ) and it didnt even drop a single bar! ill guess it depends on where you are when doing the test and how strong the signal is!

Pretty much every phone will loose some reception when you do the death grip.
The big difference is on the Iphone 4 you can do this just by putting your pinky in the wrong place.

Heres a good demonstration. Skip to 1:30 on the video
