Default Apple takes on the Nokia N97 (antennagate)

Apple tries to bulls*it their way out of the antennagate issue with their iPhone 4 by showing some videos of other mobile manufactures phones and their "antenna problems". Just tried this on my friends N97 mini and N97 and the phone didnt dropp a single bar. Its probably because i live in Sweden and the mobile network here is way better than the crappy AT&T network in US . Check out the video demo after the break!

In our tests, the Nokia N97 mini dropped from 7 bars to 2 bars when held in a way that attenuated the signal.

never ever happens to me and considering that the antenna is behind the camera i dont think holding it that way would make a difference.. i think a gsm jammer might help though

Lol, they ARE holding it wrong, who the hell hold their N97 on the Bottom of the Phone? I'm sure Apple studies all the phone's antenna weakspot before they make a video of it and trying to make it look as innocent as possible, still, LOL, Nokia Spend 1/3 of their time trying to figure how NORMAL people would hold their phone so they'll place the antenna at a possition where NORMAL people wont cover the antenna...

what apple is doing atm is rediculous - instead of searching the weak spots of other phone's antennas they should do something to improve their iphone4 antenna. i will never buy a product again from a company that acts like this!

Here's a video of iPhone 4 "Death Grip" tested on a Nokia N97 mini in both Telia Sonera GMS and 3G Network in Finland.

On GSM it drops every time from 7 to 2 bars. The 3G signal is a little bit lower so in the test it is 6 bars and drops to 2 bars.
But it show clearly that there is an affect on how you hold the device.

In the tests the device is not held very hard, it's just me a little bit shaky with the camera.
