    it works my friend for sure it works on your phone irregardless of what firmware you have on your phone. be patient it takes a moment for it to work and it is not easy to hold down all three keys while you are trying to power on the device, only let go of the power button once you power it on and keep on holding the three keys until vibration or handshake screen is visible. if done right it will work. i have not heard of any such issue unless your phone is totally dead and you have to take it to service, but your phone is not dead as it powers on. it took me a moment to figure it out on my s60 3rd devices but it works. be patient and keep on trying.

    Because It could have been because of an install on your memory card.

    Hard reset solved problem temporairly but.... after 1 week of using shortcuts disappeared again! This issue is very annoying, cos contacts bar is pretty useless
    (sorry 4 my english again )

    OMG...

    I have the same problem to,trying to do hard reset (*#7370#) but when i enter the 12345 code..its showed "code error"

    Hard reset solves the problem but does not prevent it from happening again. I dont want to hard reset my phone and reconfigure it all over again every time this problem happens.

    Well, then you need to wait for it to get fixed by firmware update.

    make sure to do a weekly backup then.
