    Default Nokia 5800 Battery Level Indicator

    Over all firmwares on the Nokia 5800 the Nokia 5800's battery level onscreen is never accurate.
    Is there anything that can be modded or configured differently to give a more accurate reading?
    Thanks

    Calibrate the battery.

    1. Run the battery empty
    2. Charge the phone to full without turning it on
    3. Turn the phone on
    4. Charge til full
    5. Run it till empty
    6. Repeat steps 1-5.

    There is no official source. This is just a typical guideline for li-ion battery usage. A li-ion battery with a gauge(like phones and laptops) should be calibrated once every 30 charges. If not done, this would make the gauge increasingly inaccurate.

    someone posted here about editing a file that changes the indicators reading...

    full bar= 100%
    5 bars = 70
    4 bars = 50
    3 bars = 30
    2 = 20
    1 = 10

    forgot if im correct but you can edit this file to change how the phone reads and translates the battery meter icon

    This is a very good guide. But I can't let my phone off even for a while.

    @zulfan - then get your old phone and use it for the 2-4 hours (depending on charger).

    yeah those values are almost correct, so when you have 5 lines your battery is on max 50%
    1-5 lines each line represents 10%
    6-7 are the rest
