    back-up the original file and try it until you make it work, cause a) you can't screw it whilst you have the original file b) you must be doing smth wrong for sure, check all your steps carefully.

    2. place Games.mif file somewhere on C (Mine is in c:\resource\apps\icons).
    3. create a new folder in main menu and rename it to Games.
    4. restart phone so that appshelldata.xml gets changed.
    5. using nokia file browser/ybrowser or x-plore, go to c:\private\101f4cd2\content\ and copy appshelldata.xml to any folder on your memory card.
    6. connect the phone to PC and copy the file to desktop.
    7. back it up (just in case)
    8. open the file with notepad and look for the following string:

    <appshell:folder title_name="Games" bla bla bla
    <br>
    OR
    <br>
    <appshell:folder positioned="1" title_name="Games" bla bla bla

    (not sure exactly as I don't have the original, but it's going to be just one "Games" folder)

    9. paste the following code in the middle (note: change the path according to where you placed your games.mif file if different from p.2)

    icon_file="C:\resource\apps\Icons\Games.mif" icon_id="16384" mask_id="16385" icon_skin_minor_id="1977" icon_skin_major_id="101F86E3"

    10. MY final code below shows like that (easier for you to understand where to paste the code when comparing to what you have)

    <appshell:folder positioned="1" title_name="Games" long_name="Games" short_name="Games" icon_file="C:\resource\apps\Icons\Games.mif" icon_id="16384" mask_id="16385" icon_skin_minor_id="1977" icon_skin_major_id="101F86E3">

    11. replace the appshelldata.xml in C:\private\101f4cd2\content\ with the edited one and restart phone.

    P.S. You need to be extra carefull when copying and pasting the codes.
    Watch for spacing [ ], slash [/], [>], etc. If you missed one, the icons won’t change.

    good luck!
    Thanks +1

    Think you will need a hacked phone for that, with xplore on a unhacked phone you can probably view the files but not modify or change them.

    Question, does OxyCube work on s60 phones? Its just like having a hacked phone except its not. LOL. At least it works for s40 phones. You use OxyCube to access the private folder.
