    Default Hide Anything from Gallery

When you take pictures, make videos or copy image/videos to your S60device, they will be appeared in the Gallery application. In some case, you don’t want to appear them
    setthe file attribute to “hidden“.
In order to do that, you need a file manager is capable of browsingto all folders. Unfortunately the default S60’s file manager won’t dothe job. You need a more powerful one, for example Y-Browser or x-plore.
After downloading and installing Y-Browser, run it, select your image/video and select Options | File | Attributes menu. Set “Hidden” field to “Yes“.

    both are different methods ...
here u set attribute to "hidden" so ur folder/image wont be seen anywhere in gallery ...

the other method is for hiding ringtones only from gallery but to show it in ringtones section and thats y u change the attribute to "system".

if u set ur ringtones file to " hidden" it wont be shown even in ringtones section

Another easy way to hide items is to create a folder called Private. The system does not read it.

if u create a folder called private u need to set it to be "hidden " then only ur sytem wont show it

its not that by naming folder as private it wont be shown ,,,,what is more imp is what attribute u have set for that file/folder ...
for that matter u can create a folder with any name and just set it to "hidden " and place files in this folder

Please can you help? I've got a Nokia 5800 and want to hide folders. To hide folders I installed Y-Browser but it said it was not compatable with my device and wouldn't open, so I installed X-Plore but the "Attributes" menu is greyed out and I cannot hide my folders? Any advice would be great thanks
